Register a new domain that is eligible for WhoIs privacy and the first year of privacy is available for $1.99 (instead of $7.99). If you register the domain for two years, you can immediately manage the domain info and renew the WhoIs privacy for the second year ... using the FREEWHOIS promo code. You will get two years of WhoIs privacy for $1.99 total. I just did it for a .info domain ($3.99 for first year right now) and all my .org, .com & .net domains 2010-08-12. Expiration unknown.

Registered three new domains. After registering, then went to control panel and added whois privacy option. FREEWHOIS made the charge $0.00 for each domain (added privacy one domain at a time). Then, because registered domains for two years, went back to control panel and renewed FREEWHOIS for each domain. 2 years FREEWHOIS for all domains, expires 2014. Hell yeah! Feeling like a boss. :-D
